If you’re always in a quest to brave the waters and reach new ocean depths, then head over to Gold Coast for a thrilling and nerve-racking, yet wonderful underwater experience that you’ll find nowhere else.
The beautiful underwater scene alone on the island creates a dreamscape—where you’ll be surrounded by the colourful and amazing marine creatures. Gold Coast Seaway, among the most beautiful diving sites on the island, lures many divers for having one of the most amazing underwater scenes across Australia.
If you have travelled the world and experienced diving in exotic locations, you’ll understand that there’s hardly any level of diversity and abundance of fish life in an area so easily accessed all year round. The Gold Coast Seaway boasts its impressive geographical location where subtropical currents meet the temperature currents, with its annual water temperature ranging from 19 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. Divers also love its bottom composition and structures in which you can see the seaway floor is vastly coffee rock covered by sand but is exposed in areas where the current forces are greatest.
Of course, make sure to bring your underwater camera to capture the wonderful marine life. You can expect to see big fish at the Sand Pipe, the Northeast Wall and Gold Coast Seaway Entrance. The eagle rays can be spotted at the Eagle Ray Cleaning Station, Northeast Wall, Southeast Wall and Sand Pipe, while the cownose Rays are at the Gold Coast Seaway Entrance, where you can also find guitarfish and sharks. Beautiful turtles are at the Southeast and muck-diving critters are usually seen at the Southwest Wall, Shirt Pipe and Wave Break Island.
Plan your holiday now and explore the beautiful underwater scene of the Gold Coast. Our Surfers Paradise Resort Accommodation is ideally located near the Gold Coast Seaway and all other main attractions on the island. Karana Palms Resort is a great choice of accommodation for your holiday on Gold Coast.
